Poster on atl skills

Reflection

Using ATL Skills to create the poster on The Metamorphosis of the Butterfly was a creative and significant experience. The transformation of the butterfly from a caterpillar to a stunning, free-flying being is a fantastic metaphor for the development of our ATL abilities. The butterfly goes through phases of change, and so do we as students as we develop our research, thinking, communication, social, and self-management abilities.

We were able to illustrate how various ATL abilities relate to each step of the butterfly’s life cycle while creating the poster. The early stages of learning, when curiosity and foundational abilities are established, were symbolised by the caterpillar stage. The chrysalis represented introspection, fortitude, and perseverance—qualities that we as students strive to cultivate.

Lastly, the butterfly represented the self-assured and self-sufficient student who can use ATL abilities in both personal and academic contexts. I learnt from this creative project that learning is about becoming a more well-rounded and competent person as well as acquiring knowledge.

Acknowledgements

I want to sincerely thank Udgam School for Children for pushing us to express our ideas artistically and for giving us opportunity to learn outside of textbooks. I am deelply grateful to Ms. Mala Bhatia, our PPS teacher, for her leadership, inspiration, and assistance during this exercise. We were able to present ATL skills in an interesting way and view them from a new angle because to her support. I was able to think back on my personal development as a student in addition to improving my comprehension of ATL abilities.
